I just picked up this 1992 sc400 two weeks ago and one of the wheel caps are missing. I have been looking ever since with no luck. From what I can tell they are sc400 dealer options because they do say sc on the caps and are 16's, and im pretty sure theyre BBS wheels. I may be wrong. Has anyone seen these ever? Because I never seen them. Anyone know where I can get a center cap? Ive tried ebay, craigslist, juink yards, e.t.c.
There the gold BBS wheels those usually came on SC300's ,but that was a strange dealer option back in he day. Junkyards would be your best bet or search for BBS wheels on ebay.
I've got those on my SC4 as well (with original caps). They are chrome but are beginning to show their age (16) but still look nice. I've seen whole sets of these wheels on ebay selling for next-to-nothing.
Wish I could find a nice set of IS wheels/tires here in Florida to replace them ...
Aftermarket wheels. They are not factory. A company called Vogue wheels used to make that same wheel design with that same cap. Maybe search the internet for Prime or Vogue center caps.
I am 100% certain that mine are Prime wheels and that, at least in 1991, Prime sold wheels to dealerships with a "L" centercap. Toyota later sued because they were making the lexus "L" without permission.
