Default Drivers side Wheel is squeeking. help!

My drivers side wheel makes squeaking sounds that happen more periodically the faster I go.

When I turn left it still squeaks, but when I turn right the squeaking stops.

The squeaking will also stop if I am on the breaks.

I tried jacking the car up and manually rotating the wheel, and taking the wheel off and manually rotating the rotor, and there in no noise.

Please help me with this problem.

Take a close look at both sets of pads, on both sides of the car and check to see if one of the 4 pads is worn excessively. I would suspect your caliper is dragging slightly, at this age you may have a sticky caliper or your brake lines are swollen, causing the caliper to stick.

Could also be a bad hub as well. While the wheel is off the ground, any funky noises or can you move the wheel around and feel slop?

All these cars are at the age where we need to start replacing rubber lines to prevent this.

check to see if your rotor dust shield has a rock in it or is hitting your rotor.

I have very recently replaced the rotors and pads. The dust shield was hitting the rotor but I bent it out of the way.

When i move the wheel when its on jacks there is no noise at all.

How would my brake lines be affecting this?

Also I noticed when i put the new rotors and pads on, the pads were rubbing on the rotor. A friend said that its normal and it will adjust itself but I dont know.

Thanks for the help so far! Any more ideas??

Brake lines swell up internally, causing fluid to get stuck in the caliper (like blue ***** for your brakes) and the calipers drag, then the caliper overheats boiling the fluid resulting in a jacked up caliper.

Bad cases pieces of the line break off and get stuck in caliper too sometimes.

Common problem on everything else (Porsche guys change 'em 10 years without fail- it's a crappy problem to diagnose. BTDT)

Bump.. Problem not fixed yet.

So what parts should I be inspecting in order to diagnose what the cause of the problem is? I kinda nervous driving, while having something going wrong and not knowing what it is.
