I have had my sc3 w the 1jzgte for about 2 years and havent really had any issues until now. Afew months ago i was driving and after leaving the highway lost engine power, the car just went into idle. When i would give it gas it would rev to 2000 and cut out. The only way to drive it home was to switch gears at 2000 to avoid the cut. I started the car up later that day and it ran perfect. I didnt have any issues until recently when the problem has returned. It starts when i leave the highway. Is this fuel cut or electrical cut? I have a greddy bcc aka fuel cut controller, could that be the issue or is it a maf or tps sensor? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

 

Most likely the igniter, I had the exact same issue.

 

Where did you get a new one and how much was it? Did it have to be for a 1j or will the sc one work?

 

So a 1jzgte and 2jzgte will work. Ill try that out.

 

ANy other ideas, i would hate to replace the wrong part.
