I have been having a strange problem and wonder if anyone else has seen it.
When traveling at a constant speed occasionally the accelerator seems to "lose" its feel. In other words rather than being able to accelerate by simply depressing the accelerator slightly it requires significant distance before the engine responds (this is not the same issue as when flooring the accelerator and the engine taking awhile to downshift.) It is feels almost as if the engine has stalled. It happened last year intermittently but this year much more frequently, I will notice it several times on every drive.
I have reported this to my Lexus dealer but they can not seem to find the problem.
Check several things to start.......bad Throttle Position Sensor, bad Mass Airflow sensor, bad Oxygen Sensor, weak fuel pump, clogged fuel filter or injectors (often a result of cheap gasoline). Carbon buildup in high-mileage engines can mess up throttle response by accumulating on throttle parts and cutting down on airflow and free motion.
Even whren everything works properly, some Lexus drive-by-wire systems havs a non-linear throttle response that varies with engine temperature, feels strange, and takes getting used to.

120K may be OK by the book but in real life, by the time a car has that kind of mileage on an original set of plugs, the threads sometime get so burned into the hole from the continual engine heat that the plugs are next to impossible to get out...even with things like penetrating oil, anti-sieze compound, etc.....
