question on header install..
I just bought some mvp headers from Slade..GREAT PERSON TO WORK WITH!! kudos to him and ill always vouch for him, will also be putting a good word in on the CL thing. Question below.
aIm somewhat new at working with cars, but i feel i did good on my bfi and i think i can tackle this install...heres the question.
1.) Do i need to remove the distributor to get to any screws on the stock headers?
2.) And what does the bottom end of the new header connect to?? Looking at the stock header confused me.
Here are 2 pics of them. Im probably gonna clean them.

I used to be the original owner of this header. Its nice to see it all the way out in Texas. The only thing you have to remove is the intake so you have more room to work with. The distributer stays. Once you have all that out you can easily see where the bottom flange will bolt up to. I do recommend that you get replacement gaskets for the top flanges so you have not leaks from the head. Also, if you have a pre 95 SC you're going to have to do something about the O2 sensors. I used universal sensors for my old 92.
omg..lol.
well after removing all the intake and getting to the stock header, i realized those stock nuts are wayyyy to hard..so tomorrow morning its off to the shop with new tires in store as well. FAILURE. i wish i could have done it on my own.

Congrats! Im glad to see these actually being put to use. These were too much trouble for me in Cali. It made police want to give me tickets. Im glad you were able to get all the rusty old nuts off. I was going to suggest soaking the nuts and studs with PB Blaster for a new minutes to make things easier.

Glad to hear everything worked out well!. I had a great time with the header, but unfortunately like jspec said, california cops love to harass. I only wanted to run it NA at the track. And was pretty satisfied with the results.
