Default How rare is....?

How rare is it to find a gold SC300 with a 5spd? and if Toyota didn't make the SC's in gold with a 5spd. what would be my best transmission option if i were to go na-t? maybe up to 400whp. thanks

What color did 1997 5speed SC's come in? I Know they came in Red, but what about white?

Also, whats the name of the color on this SC? Does it have an actual name, or is it just Beige or Gold? Thanks

Any manual SC is rare, but out of those I've seen more than a few sandstone manuals.

I had one.

I almost bought the holy grail 97' RSP blue 5spd, but I missed it by hours.

RyanV, I would have to say the 95' Sc300 5spd Teal Mist, you own is very rare. Considering that color was discontinued after 1995.

The Gold car should be sandstone beige. Just think if they made a SC400 6-speed.

Old Man Tan FTW.

I've seen some old man tan 5spds running around. I don't think they are any more rare than any other color 5spd sc's. I would consider the rare colors the purple and rsp

No offense to anyone but gold on tan has to be one of the worst color combo's they ever made, no matter how clean it is. And if you can find a 97 5-speed get that no matter the color, and as far as i know they came in any color in 97. Ive seen white before, there was one for sale on here not too long ago in maryland.

The best tranny is preference only as both suck, The stock auto will hold about 300-350whp and the W58 5-speed will hold around 350-400whp (approx.)
i like my auto because its easier to find a cheap replacement for stock, cheaper and easier to find a GTE/auto swap, and can be built by BL to hold more power and if thats not enough change to a TH400.
The 5-speed is only good if you plan on doing a V160 swap later which is around $5k(depending on parts/labor), people will say you can do an R154 swap but that tranny is only slightly less crappy then the W58 (first gear thrust washer goes bad) and is a waste of money IMO
