Default Are these lights even saveable??

I have been reading all the threads on here on how to restore the headlights on my SC400 and when I went to look at them last night I noticed that I had another issue. It looks like somehow I have a big melted spot on one of my lenses. Like maybe someone put in the wrong kind of bulb at one point in the past.
I am wondering if this is even save-able if I was to unseal and clean them and polish and all the tricks I have read about on here. Or am I going to be better off replacing them with some OEM units.

Is it possible to replace JUST the outer lense if I pulled and cracked them open?

As long as there are no cracks on them I'd keep them. Do a search, there are TONS of info on these moisture loving headlights.

try and clean 'em up and fix the moisture issue...if it doesn't work or you don't like the way it came out THEN spend the $$$ to get OEM replacements... but atleast try 1st...

Someone needs to do some scientific studies to determine the actual thing causing condensation, and then a be-all-end-all FIX.
Some people have theories, but I want tests, data, and facts. lol ... but seriously...

Use O.L.T. method of madness. It shows step by step how to do it.

if you melted it its probably no good. once you melt plastic it gets a haze throughout.
you would be lucky if its only in the top few layers that you can sand out.
