how long does it take per side to take off the front lower control arms? im gonna be working with a lift so is it pretty straight forward?

 

Theres only one biggest problem.Getting the rear bolts out, after you unscrew the nut.Most of the time the bolts are frozen to the sleeves.

I had to remove the crossmember,then bang on the bolt on the ground,but that didnt help.So i took the crossmember to the local mufler shop,but they melted the whole crossmember when they tried to cut the bolts off with torch.

Lastly i had to order a suspention crossmember from ebay,and get the sleves from TM Engeneering (they saved my butt)

I spent over $200 extra not counting the bushings themselves.

I can hardly wait to tackle mine.

 

They didn't take terribly long to take out, my main problem was loosening the ball joint off of the knuckle. That thing was stuck horribly. Banged on the knuckle for a while (a LONG while) with a hammer, and it popped off, just make sure you don't hit the ball joint itself!

If you're replacing your bushings, they might need to be burned out. If you're replacing the arm itself, it shouldn't take terribly long. I installed Daizen bushings and had trouble getting the arm to fit back in to the cradle, ended up using 2 jacks, one under each bushing to lift it back in to place.

P.S.: after replacing most of the bushings (couldn't get the Rear UCA's out), I now have a new found hatred for my car.
