i've searched here, but haven't found help. where the hell is the low pressure air conditioning port on my '95 SC400? i'm hoping this recharge kit gives me cold air again.
i live in florida, and florida heat, leather seats, dress clothes, and no a/c do not mix well. i'm considering contacting the makers of Depends undergarments to create a taint-sweat garment.

help me out! pics would also be super (of the low pressure port, not your taint).

 

If its anything like the SC300 look for it bolted to the passenger side shock tower.

 

the LP connection is almost directly above the compressor. If you're looking into the engine bay from the front, it's slightly to the right and above the compressor about 4 inches.

 

OP, this is may be correct for an R134a system. I have a '93 SC4 with R12 and the LP side is on the top of the compressor ... covered by a black plastic cap. I could send you the portion of the manual that deals with this ... but like I said, I have an R12-based system and the LP valve may be located in a different location.

 

Should be on top of the compressor with a black cap on it, unless its been tampered with. DO NOT try to add freon to the red top by the radiator. This is your high pressure side.

 

This is correct but remember ... he has a '95 (with R134a), you and I have pre-'94s (with R12. I just added a can of R12 to my system and yes, the low side schrader valve is on top of the compressor. For '94 and beyond I have no idea.

 

I converted to 134, but, I kinda doubt that they would change the connection location based upon a simple change in refrigerant.
