Send in your gauge cluster to LexTech. Oh and yes it's SUPER common. I have the same problem

yes you can send it in. But you can have them replace it with any color needles or backlight that you want

LMAO, i sure hope you didnt just compare a toyota motor to a honda, if so

As with any vehicle, if its not taken care of ***** will break often, and it will suck to fix it, even more so on a lexus....remember, this is a $60k sports coupe, not a $14k economy car (aka honda civic). When this car breaks, space will be tight, and parts will be high.

As far as the cluster goes, there is nothing troublesome about sending the cluster off to be repaired for approx 175 bucks, when a new one from lex will run you 700 just because you dont want to drive around for a week without a cluster.

Do I have to send it in??? I mean to say I can not repair or replace anything? Is it a bulb replacement in the cluster? Can I replace it? Also I hear alot of ppl removing the rear mufflers for more of a power tone, is this safe to do? I ask Cuz I notice the rear pipeing bends toward the wheels..Not sure I like the idea of hot exhaust blowing on my tires...Anyway im cool with it if you guys think its a start b4 getting an exhaust system...

I had my last SC speedo done. Lextech did a great job, look at my sig below. The speedo will be a B*tch to get out, at least mine was. Those stupid connecters can be a PITA the older your car is. Also, make sure you use a magnetic tip screw driver or you can get screwed lol.

Aww c'mon.

To the OP. If you really love your SC you should keep it. For their age, price, etc., these cars are pretty awesome. The cluster needles dimming are just one of the many gremlins what will need attention on these cars. If you give these cars care and love they will do the same in return.

Honestly, I think that soaringhigh the best response of the whole thread. If you read this guys other thread the SC was given to him, he didn't choose it. You have to love the SC to want one. nothing is easy when you have a honda/acura ricer background to compare to where there 1,000 product on every corner.

He doesn't "love" the Sc and he didn't choose it. I think for someone who didn't want to be an SC owner and it got put on him, in 4 months he is going to be b**chin bout everything on it going wrong and him having to order every single part from different parts on the globe and he'll just end up trading it anyway.

.....which is why I said earlier, I think trading it off is his best bet. You have to WANT these cars to own them because very step of them is an effort.
