Default SC400 Front Caliper problems..

Looks like my sliding pin on my caliper is seized. I bought the cores but they did not include the other side where the other pad goes..

Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the seized sliding pin? I tried pretty much everything...

Brakes feel like crap since only one side is working properly. The caliper doesn't isn't slide ..

Help plz..

TIA
-Henry

are you talking about the caliper pin that the bolts bolt into or a piston in the caliper?

im pretty sure he means the sliding pin where the caliper bolts too. theres another thread on this. place that bracket in a bench vise. knock that pin out. drench it in some penetrating fluid, let it sit and have at it. if you dont wanna knock it out, use a pair of vice grips and twist. just dont destroy that pin.

Yup it's the sliding pin on the other side of the caliper..

It's pretty seized in there won't budge at all..

No where to really knock away at it = (..

I had the same problem about a week ago. I ended up using a propane torch. Worked in 5 minutes. The sliding pin came right out. I couldn't get it out any other way...

if i remember correctly the part where the bolt goes into the pin is a 17 mm nut. pull the rubber boot back a little bit and spray some penetrant in there. then put it in a vise and turn the pin with a socket and a wrench/breaker bar. i had to use my impact gun to turn it on my friends gs400 cus his was frozen too.
