need help caliper bolts is strip..

Default need help caliper bolts is strip..

i have a 07 gs430 front caliper bolt strip..and the caliper nut strip..what can i do..? the bolt a 12mm 1.25 .. the tread is strip bad.. can i replace that part..? the nut on the caliper im asking....

Yeah u can. Not sure about the length, bring it to autozone and ask the guy. Dont worry, its replaceable.

im asking about the nut on the cailiper... the part where the bolt screw into...

So what you're saying is that where the bolt screws into the caliper is stripped? That is not a nut, it is part of the caliper. If it is stripped, and a tap or thread chaser can't fix it... you probably need a new caliper

I'm thinking photo of the destroyed part would be very helpful in getting a common understanding of your issues.

Reviving an old thread here...

Somehow did this to the bottom bolt on my passenger caliper, Endlesslex any word as to whether you were able to rethread the caliper, or did you need to buy a new one?
