Default Supra Manifold on SC3

Is there any way to fit the stock MKIV turbo manifold on the sc300, maybe with the stock twins?? What if you changed the head? Is any of this possible? I know there is some very knowledgable guy's here.

I'd search for this on Supraforums, as the SC300 has the same engine as the N/A Supra... and _many_ N/A Supra owners want turbos...

I believe that it's not possible, but I'm sure that the definitive answer is available on supraforums.

The manifolds are different, you could swap the head but then realize that the TT has coilpacks and no distributor, so then you run into the wiring problems you would have if you where doing a complete TT swap. At that point you might as well swap in the TT shortblock too for the advantage of oil squirters.


One thing I am considering though is making a new intake manifold for this car when I turbo mine or spray it. I imagine my plugs are going to need changed quite frequently and looking at the stock intake and TB setup this does not look like a pretty task. I am going to try something along the lines of mating a TT custom manifold onto the GE motor my modifying/ changing the flance and possibly using a TT TB that has the traction control units shaved off and polished. It sounds like a lot of work but it really shouldn't be. Just a thought at this point though.

Titan, several ppl have complained about the plug-changing issue. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to do what you're planning, Ethan was going to do basically the same thing, but he was going to use an SP upper on a GTE base with the flange redone, I think he's going with a complete custom unit at this point. I love juice too, but why spray when you can boost? Or better yet, both.

PHR makes a SupraTT style manifold for the GE head I think

SP is making an intake manifold for my car, and they are now actually selling them for the N/A. The cost is $999, and does not include a throttle body. Also, this is on a core exchange basis. You can see pics of the new intake manifold on Supraforums, it is modeled after the Veilside intake manifold for Supra TTs.

This is going to sound dumb, but with the stock GE engine, how you make this work with the way the stock one curves over the engine?

Custom piping would obviously be necessary, but those of us who plan on going turbo or who have full fabrication facilities that shouldn't be a problem.

see...i know that the stage 1.5 toyomoto kit for the sc300 is like 7k...thats with a sidemount...can you get the kit with a FMIC??

If so...who all do you recommend to do custom piping to one...or is there a company who could get it too you. I know that Greddy has a universal pipe kit...that might work too....dunno

Lex: Yeah i think its SS... its NICE... its basically the GE throttle body turned around

but pipe routing for a FMIC becomes FAR easier with the SupraTT style intake manifold

Just to let you guys know that with a Greddy 3 row supra FMIC kit, quite a bit of the piping fits. You just have to make a couple of pipes, no big deal really, and change a mount or two on the I/C. Fits and works great and looks awesome!



This was just the way I went, there are a lot of different things you can do to get a FMIC on the car, and piping can be done by a lot of different places. All you have to do is buy the pre mandrel bent pipes and cut and weld them, paint or polish over and it looks great, as long as whoever is doing it know what the hell they are doing I would however say that getting a kit from toyomoto to fit their turbo kit would probably be the easiest route.

How much do they charge to upgrade from a sidemount kit to a front mount?
