Default Malfunction Indicator Light

Looked through my manual and it says that it has something to do with the engine/transmission electronics, empty fuel tank, and not a fully tightened gas cap (SC4). I have an SC3, '99 model 124k miles. What is the problem?

Go to your favorite auto parts store and ask them to pull the OBDII codes from your car. It should be free. The codes will tell you what's wrong.
