I have a 2006 gs. I went to the gas station left the gas cap didn't know till the next day. So I went back got the gas cap. Now my check engine and vsc light came on.. Also a light beside the check engine light came on... It's a exclamation mark with a circle around it and parenthesis around the circle. Heelllppppp! Will these lights go off automatically or do I need to have them turned off.. Lexus said eventually they will turn off.. But idk helppppp it just happened on Tuesday...

It won't reset by it self because the system has detected an evap leak cause by the gas cap being off. You have to manually pull the code and rest it with the OBDII scanner ( you can get one from any auto store ) and it should clear all the lights on the dash. Drive the car for a certain amount of mileages and the system will automatic recheck to see if there is a problem. Good luck and let us know what happens
