Is it connect2car? Im thinking about using that system, but i havnt ruled out building my own. This one looks like its pretty hackable in that it just has terminal outputs that can be wired to any relay, and you can write your own code and sequencing for it.

so when your remote breaks or you lose it you should get an aftermarket alarm?
Its really 300 for the dumb small remote? Im tired of using the key to unlock the car

I personally would fix the stock one because I don't like having aftermarket electronics in my car. You could probably get a descent aftermarket alarm for a lot less if you don't mind having the extra little remote... Now if you're really handy then you could probably figure out a way to make your original key button work with the new alarm, but I dunno how you would go about doing that.
