Default **PROJECT: CF Aero Mirrors**

I'm gearing up to start another project for the SC!
I wanted to post up some before pics since I just recieved the mirrors today, and then I'll progress through 'til completion.

I had this idea stuck in my head after seeing a purple SC here on the forums with race mirrors. I've been on the search for race mirrors that had the sleek curved look I was dreaming of (Instead of boxy square style).. Well, I finally found the perfect set!!
The concept is to cut up and re- mold/fiberglass the pair of Bomex aero mirrors in the pics below into bases that will cover up the screws on the aero race mirror bases, so it will appear stream-lined/show quality. Haven't decided if I'll wrap the bases in cf, but I'm thinking it might look better if it's painted gloss black. Will have to see when the design is finished!

So will these look more like Ganador mirrors or Bomex?

Neither- First the race mirror stalks will be bolted to the doors, then the modded Bomex fiberglass will be put on over the stalks and bolted down to cover up the bolting locations. Then the cf mirrors will be mounted on the stalks. I think that explains it?

[Might be hard to picture...] I'll see if I can't Photoshop a pic of how it'll look!
Hold on a sec...

Fast turn around considering I had to find a pic that somewhat matched!
I definitely will delete that chrome trim, and I'm still deciding on tint vs. no tint.

The mirrors are adjustable in several ways so there will be no issues getting the right angles. The brand of these mirrors... I'll divulge later when the project is closer to completion... UNLESS someone can find them on the net and post up here???!!!
A CHALLENGE!

Definitely will be posting pics as it's done. There are quite a few SC's with race mirrors that I've seen pics of lately.
[Uenos, as well as a few people here on the forums that don't post often.]

Here are 3 pics of the mirrors installed on a Time Attack Nissan 350Z:

I think they look gangster, a little UFO'ish in my opinion but defiantly unique, with hint a class and style thrown in there too
