Is the Lexus dealer the only place I can get a copy of my car key?

I got one from Lexus dealer for under $50 without the alarm, mine is '95 SC400 and has the alarm built in to the key to the side. Anyways, I've seen a lot of blank keys sold on Ebay for cheap and they state to take the blank key to any locksmith, these people should be able to duplicate the key. But then again, if the price is under $50 at the dealer, why bother with others? I think you are taking a chance with those keys on Ebay. On the other hand, if they key is less than $5, I would go for it and have a locksmith try to duplicate one out for me.

If I remember correctly, with the alarm, the cost went over $100. I can't remember the exact cost but to me it was too much. Call your local lexus dealer and they should be able to quote you some prices.
