Steering rack questions.
Ok, so I am going to do a whole front end rebuild. Steering rack bushings, lca bushings, tie rod ends, ect... I had heard somewhere that Ueno uses a LS400 steering rack because he is able to turn sharper with it and it has quicker steering lock to lock. Does anyone on here have any experience or info on this?

None, all I can say is I just purchased the Daizen steering rack bushing kit thingy, and I'm putting it on this weekend. As far as Ueno...i dunno, sounds crazy enough...he might have done it, call him.
Thanks for the response.
Yea I purchased those too. I am trying to get all the parts together so i can do it all at once.... Guess I will have to get an LS 400 rack and look to see if it will work....Since he put that restraining order on me it's hard to get ahold of him...
Thanks for the response.

I dont know if that particular rack will work.. I do know that the tie rods, both inner and outer, are different, but that may not matter. You can adjust them. I would recommend buying Daizan bushings... Just did mine 1 month ago and love them. Call TM Engineering.

In a couple weeks I will be doing the bushings. I have access to a couplr ls 400's as well so i will stick them up on the rack and see what I can find out. I will keep you gents posted on my findings.
are there any differences from year to year on the ls400s rack ratio? and im trying to find the ratio on the sc's as well. i am looking into a lower geared ratio as ours are pretty high, as the supras also at a 17.5:1 ratio(supra not sc).
