The Accord V6 is a Icon. I was gonna say the same thing kinda as the guy above about the deal. Plus Finiance charges. The dealer was taking your head off, but.... you were laying it down and giving him the ax.

Clean up the accord, service it up to date and sell it on your own. It ain't hard the sell a Honda Accord V6, you should get a min of $ 6k - 7k or more on your own. I would get more personally. Forget about acution prices. Unless there's something wrong with the Accord we don't know

A nice 98 SC400 with 110k miles, I would not pay anymore than $ 8.7k - $ 9.7K. And that would have to be one that had the timing belt already done reguardless of miles. And I would pick that car apart or have it checked to see if it worth less. Good luck

Are you kidding me? Get the Honda... Only those losers over on the Honda forums would tell you to get the dirty Lexus

Now the car is just sitting on the lot, he went down a thousand on his price, so i guess its just a waiting game to see how low he'll go and then i make my move

Screw the dealer before the dealer screws you! I say sell your car and buy one from personal seller, not dealer.

DONT BUY DEALER!!!

Buy Club Lexus!!

While your making your accord extra flossed out for selling. Check out the forums and learn about SC's what us owners like, and hate.

Then when your accord is ready for the sale Go to the classifieds and pick up one from a reputable member.

Few things you have to consider: You're in Kansas, winter weather, icy roads in a RWD is some what more risky compared to FWD and AWD... If you do your own maintenance, parts are cheaper in your Honda compared to Lexus. If you do send yours to a shop, Honda is gonna be cheaper than a Lexus.

You're gonna have to hustle more if you want to buy that car from that dealership. Tell them this other dealership offered more for your trade, and rule of thumb: They usually will take an offer of $500 above for whatever they got that sc400, so look up that trade value or get a slight idea of what you think the amount they picked up that car in for... If they wouldn't budge, just leave. They'll usually call you back to do the offer...

Also depending the type of dealership you're buying from, Big dealerships will mark up that vehicle 3-7k. Little dealerships I have no idea how much they picked it up for, but they're usually harder to haggle...

Also if you're financing, negotiatie your APR too... You can get low APR if you have awesome credit. Used, non-certified vehicles I say decenty 7%. On a car that's 11 years old and 100k miles, they usually don't finance... If you have bad credit, don't let them use that against you to rip you on price of the car, your trade in, and your finance APR... I've seen horrible credit get pushed into 18% when they could of easily gotten 12-15%...

Other than that, if it's the style and more solid build of a car, I'll go for the Lexus... I know you can get it cheaper than what you're looking at... Good luck...

Craigslist dude.. You can get decent SCs for under 4K.
I got mine for 1800 with over 100K on it, and it runs like 50K; you'de never guess.
The Accord V6s are nice, but I'd take my SC over one o' those ANYDAY.
RWD, 2JZ Engine, Telescopic Steering, Heated Seats, and it's a '93-'98 Lexus that looks as good as any 200*..
The answer is HELL YEAH.
