Default OEM Front Lip Install Question

After searching, I couldn't find much on this topic either.

I am going to be installing my OEM Sc400 front lip on my 300 this weekend (hopefully). Looking at the lip, I have matched up where the plastic is attached on the underside of the car, but I am still confused about the application of the metal brackets on the end of the lip.

I have been told that this doesnt need any drilling to be installed but for some reason, I cant see how that would be.

Both ends of the lip have the curved metal bracket which looks like it is used to prevent sagging as well as clamp the lip to the front of the car. The issue is, the bolts that go through the bracket are attached in a way that makes it seems like I have to drill holes.

If anyone has photos of the install that would be great. Hopefully I can make a write-up out of this if people need help with the install in the future.

As always, THANKS!
-Dan

I just swapped out my lip on my 400 and since it has the holes in the bumper it was quite simple i did not think the 300's had the holes and u had to drill/ I sold my lip to Ali SC3 who has a 300 as well and he mounted it up pretty quickly and cleanly. Perhaps he can lend some advice.

Ali?

If you are gonna be really low do it the right way and you'll thank yourself later. If you need to drill holes go drill. Just make it easy to remove and attach that way it's easy going up ramps for alignments, etc. I sold my lip when I went 97+ and I still can't get up ramps.

Didn't have to drill holes, The holes are there already... And I never had any problems with the tape as far as being low.
