Default Another bay area lexus meet?

I've seen a lot of bay rea posters here and I was wondering if people were up for a meet?

THe weather is clearing up and it's getting warm again.

I'd love to get like 30 plus GS, IS and SC's out on the SF marina again.

Anyone interested? I'd think a tenative date would be a month from now?

Spread the news in other forums

IF you are definitely interested reply to this post

Default hmmmm.

Mostly, it's for the people in the forum to gather, and see each other's cars' and shoot the breeze.

THat was what it first started out as. The latest ones included raffles, and prizes and foods. Sometimes a driving caravan.

A lot of vendors and manufacturers could potentially be there too.

Personally, I wasn't looking for something very official..a little more low key

But it's fun to see the other cars nonetheless

If it's official I'm cool with that too - I met a couple good vendors that way (especially WR ^_^) and it was cool seeing hooked up Lexus cars. If not, I've been wanting to drive or ride in Anthracite's car anyway, because I want to see what that torque convertor really does for the power delivery. I also like the idea of having a little cruise (or street racing

I've seen one Lexus SC that I'd deem "modified" in the north bay here. Some guy with a 400, had lowering springs and decent looking rims. Exhaust too I think. Something tells me Republicans mod their cars more than democrats... and there's a reason we're ground zero for the term "left coast"...
Turnout was ok at the Serramonte meet last summer, about 30 cars. To be honest, I think I need to move somewher e a little more car-crazy. The only people who race me (and lose, hehe) are the Porsche Boxster drivers. I figure that's because of their inherent need to prove their car's mettle, especially after those funny commercials with the uppity sounding Lexus guy talking about the GS being able to beat the Boxster.
Anyway, I guess I'm one of the few who carry the SC performance torch in the bay area. Oh well, at least I'm near Weapon-R. Leo's in Hong Kong... new upgrades for the 1UZ-FE coming soon and you bet I'm gonna be the one trying them out

If I had a steady flow of income right now, I assure you all of it would be dumped into the car. As it is now though, I'm unemployed and living meagerly off my savings. I'll probably settle for some dead-end job temporarily to get me back on my feet. All my mods revolve around cheap, experimental DIY projects.

If you move to LA county, there's a lot more car crazy, not to mention "financially cushioned" enthusiests, which means Lexus tuners there where we have Honda tuners here.

Must be the worst feeling in the world to have just been duped into buying a tiny *** Boxster that gets toasted by a lower-cost four-door family-sedan.

Default I only have a count of about 5

5 in the SC Forum, and 5 in the GSforum,

That's only 10 cars. And given only 50% of the people actually show...that's 5 cars.

We need MORE!

All you in here who signed up..get up and get others in the forum to get involved!
