Default Philips HID advantages?

Sup guys.

So, I'm shopping around for an HID kit for my SC4.
Mod-express.com sells an HID kit for 280 dollars. It's the Philips HID kit to be exact.

Now, they sell other HID kits, w/ more temp options available, but for 80 dollars or more, less. What's the difference between the two? I don't want to get into this and, ultimately, be satisfied with just a normal HID kit.

For you reference:
ME HID kit.

I only had a couple of seconds to read through them because I am heading out the door, but I think you're just paying for the name here. Personally I would go with the Phillips because it is quality stuff. Were you wondering what bulb color to get as well? Sorry I didn't have more time to read it all through, just wanted to give my .02.

Well, the philips only provides 4300k and 6000k. Of the two, it would be 6k that I would go with.

I've had just a regular ME HID kit before, gave me no problems. Still researching.
Input is great, thanks. More would be appreciated.

We order from ddmtuning recently but they are on backorder right now so it wont be for awhile.. i think its pretty cheap 60 bucks for HID with lifetime warranty.. i've heard good reviews from them and bimmer people seem to like ddmtuning also.!

From what i've heard Philips are a great brand to go with.. even though i've never had them before.. GL

That Philips kit isnt even a real OEM kit. I'll tell you a secret. EVERY kit online you buy, is gonna be a cheep-o chinese kit.

The only way to get real oem quality philips kit, is to find the ballests on ebay or find them in a junkyard.

also 6k sucks, get 4300k

philips also offers a 5k bulb.

also, there are no authentic philips hid kits on the market. a lot of times, they just rebased the philips d2s/d2r bulbs to fit whatever application.

VERY true.... I bought three kits from www.xenondepot.com I've had zero issues with them. They come with a real actual wire harness which is critical. Just get a true 4300k kit. Also, I've had the same kit on my car for 4 years, zero issues to this day, even with a weak/dead battery at times as I store my car. I don't think they sell the philips kits anymore however...but they do sell oem replacement stuff, so you may wish to atleast inquire.
