Default Buying a 97 SC400

Hey guys, been a GS guy and I'm looking to buy a 97 SC4 with 160k. Any problems I should be aware of?

After you have it for a while you might be pissed you didnt go for the '99 for the gated shifter, VVT-i engine, steering wheel, etc. but other than that I would say go for it if it is mechanically sound. I have a '95 pushing 190k and it still runs beautifully.

if you dont mind the differences between the new ones and the old, then get it.
You shoud see if all the services were done up to date. Good luck, car itself is very reliable....

Wait it out, go for a 99 or 00 if you can find it. I've been in both and it may not seem like you would notice, but the vvti's extra horses and torque are actually noticeable. If you're in a hurry for some reason though, I'm sure the 97 would be nice. Just my two cents.

There's about 30 extra horses, mang. That, plus the extra torque plus the 5 speed certainly make a noticeable difference.

Haha, thanks for the info. I don't know if I can wait any longer for an SC, I've been waiting since I was in JHS for one and actually found a great condition, SC4 in my price range.
