Ever since I had the car, the AC compressor is very loud when its on. The AC works great, its just very loud.
What are my options? Rebuild, new one? or what? Anyone else with the same issue?

Find a remand compressor with a lifetime warranty. If you have to buy a new one and it has a lifetime warranty get that if the price is not that much of a difference. Yeah and remember to keep the receipt cause if it does go bad and you don't have it you might be out of luck.
When you open the system you need to replace the dryer cause you let the moisture into the desiccant bag. Add another $250 or so to the price tag. Thats my input hope your A/C doesn't give out soon.

I have the same noise problem its the clutch assembly on the compressor I tired buying a whole other compressor from a "member" here on CL but never got anything so now I'm just looking for another one so i can have it rebuilt to replace the one i have now... GL
Yeah I have done the clutch assemblies any they can go good or bad with the install. Those I am sure you need a clutch removal tool kind of like a pulley puller ,but not that close. Yeah those things are never cheap. Especially if you have the old R12 style and want to retrofit the system to R134a. You can put the fittings on ,but the old seal in the lines might have gapes for the R134a to slip by. So in turn you loose the refrigerant faster and you have no A/C. That why I like cars after 95 a couple federal upgrades.

Replace the whole assembly unless it is just the clutch.
