OK, I have the sought after 97 tails in my car right now, I like them but am always looking to improve and be different. I bought a set of 96 tails and took all the time to clear them and still cant decide.
Which looks better?
Stock 97's we all know what they look like.
Side by side comparison
Cleared 96's (I have a lot of time in these)
BTW, I know the Bumper/lip is messed up, its coming off for a repaint. I dont like the fit and screwed it up the other day. I have time to get it perfect while my engine is out.

i have clear 95/96 tails. but i say your car looks better with the 97. is ur bottom lense empty? or did you put somethin there? (styrene sp?) they seem more..... clear than mine so im just wonderin

Modify the 97's

Smoke the yellow reverse lights and maybe do something with the chrome trim. Here's another guy who modded his 97s. http://mon573r.wordpress.com/
It looks like he blacked out the chrome and put clear diffusers in the bottom portion and also in the reverse area.
