search gixxer drew or PM redphoenix. he has a similar setup but he uses hypercoil springs. a lot of road racing supra guys use this kind of setup with bilstein shock with great success. bilstein is a great shock.

ahhh i've been up researching for hours!! all of this coilover stuff is killing me.

I want some good coilovers, but i want my car slammed! i want that streched tires, pulled fenders, tucked on 18's look, with a decent ride but i'm building for drifting.

if i go with the bilstiens, they recomend not going lower then 2.5, but i'm not sure if that's low enough to get my lip on 18's to be really close to the fender like milt-dog's car.

and everyone complains about jdm coilovers, but i'm not sure if everyone has the same intrest as me.. i just want to go fast and drift in my daily. i can put up with a little ruffer of a ride, but i dont want my car to look like a low rider truck with airbags slammed bouncing around everywhere.

and not being on the track in years definatly sucks cause i can't ride in friends cars and compare.

ughhh... just so many decisions.

sorry about the rant

the only thing that worries me is that "gixxer_drew" on the supra forums write up was saying not to go past 2.5, and that it's for people who keep their car around stock height, but i want my car slammed.

you lose an inch when you go with supra suspension right? so does this mean i can go 3.5?

they also talk about revalving and other stuff, it's way over my head haha. i just want good coilovers that are stiff but not too stiff, that i can slam my car on and call it a day

i've heard bad things about the megans. also very good things.

It's just giving me a headache doing all this research on coilovers, because it seems like everyone has something good, and something horrible to say about EVERY coilover set-up out right now.

i was going to build my own bilstein setup but noone has them and it will take over a month to get.

I'm seriously just considering grabbing some tein SS's from titan later this week since i'll be in orlando anyway, and just calling it a day.

they're cheap, compatible with edfc, and i can buy pillowball upper mounts eventualy.

if you wanna go low then get stance. i have not heard of anyone complaining about the stances getting maxed out and they couldnt go any lower. stances actually had to be revised once with a longer shock body so people could keep close to stock ride height.

i have stances on mine and its pretty low right now. when i have a can wd40 and roll it under the car it clears the frame by about 1/4" and gets stuck on the cat. riding this low my car still doesnt bottom out. i think i can count on one hand the total number of times my car has bottomed out and that has been on the highway at highspeeds and in damn chicago construction zones.

on the softest setting they feel like stock. i have mine at 3 click past mid point on stiff side and its perfect.

if you are going to drift, and thats what i do with my car(daily driver, weekend drifter), i would go over the whole suspension. i would get some supra whiteline sway bars and some prothane bushings for all the control arms. that will give your car the most direct feel without going to full spherical bearing suspension. i figured since my car is old anyways i would do the suspension once completely and forget about it for a very long time.

if you want some stances call touge factory. TF Dave is a great guy and knows his stuff. tell him that pavel referred you. im sure be can give hook you up. good luck

Powered By Max coilovers also go really low, that's what I'm on, and I'm tucking some tire right now and they can go over 3 inches lower still. They ride really nice and everything. They're 1000 dollars plus shipping, which is a good deal (cheaper than the Stance's). They've also got a shop in the US and can do rebuilds there and stuff, and their customer service is awesome.
