as far as i can tell you can just pop out that plastic piece on top.
i dunno if the shift pattern is an insert or not.
if not you will have to make/print the logo, and make a plastic piece the same size and shape and glue it in most likely.

wow i though this was gonna be an important thread. lol.

its a shift ****, who cares. it does its job and blend in with the car well unlike most aftermarket ones that look too ricey. its too much work and throuble for a shift ****.

sorry to disappoint your thread expectations buddy

i care. my leather is wearing out.

if its too much work / trouble for you to replace something SO small as a worn shift ****, I dont even want to know the kind of effort it would take for you to fix that front end. its just not worth the work or trouble.

not intending to bash or flame ya - but do ya catch my drift?

It might be easier if you do it with after market shift **** as opposed to stock. Greddy/Trust shift **** has shift pattern sticker set aside at the time of purchase so you can put on a sticker of your choice (if you can come up with "L" sticker that is).

i was considering doing this because an air bubble or two has developed under the plastic part on top with the gear pattern.

i was just going to clean it, replace it, and seal it though.
if you have to replace the leather and all that I would buy a new one and start from there.

each car has a purpose. i would fix the front end but going to the track makes it seem like a waste of time and money. the purpose of mine is daily and track abuse thus fixing every single dent and ding IS a waste. your can on the other hand is probably a daily driver that you are in a process of restoring or replacing worn parts. for you restoring/replacing parts makes sense.

no flaming taken. its just the title of the thread made it seem like something big.

my shift **** doesnt have any leather anymore on it. its all just plastic. it actually feels. if you drive with a greddy plastic **** or the nismo one you would realize how comfortable one of those actually is. and when you hands sweat it doesnt ruin the leather either.

AND lets not go into the effort and work. if you look at my other threads you will see my work and "effort' to do things right...the first time around.

btw...body damage is a sign of character
