talking about glass headlights....we had a 98 SC400 in our yard for parts use about 4 month ago....and it has damage all over, driver headlight is gone, the passenger headlight was cracked & broken.....and we noticed the headlight cover is made from GLASS.....yes, the low bean headlight is glass....it's weird, that is the one & ONLY ONE SC we found glass headlights....not sure where the last owner got it from.....def not some homemade piece....the quality is way too nice for homemade....

For some reason I though JDM Soarer where glass, until I got a set and was disappointed, but they still look 100% better than my yellowed,scratched OE ones.

 

I just bought a set of low and high beam black housing assemblies from Ebay and they actually look great.

 

Also JDM headlights use a clear bulb w/ amber reflector in the housing for the turn signal, USDM ones are all clear w/ amber bulb.

 

Yes this is true. I just noticed that on mine.
