sc400 air intake question
I am looking for a complete air filter intake like the Ingen or rod millen type. what is the hp increase over the stock air filter system and does anyone have one for sale?

just doing an intake would get you minimal gains that would be so slight you may not notice it... only time the intake would really make a difference would be if you had other mods to compliment it...but lets say you were stock and just added a intake you may notice it a bit not wouldn't be substancial....
I don't think a short pipe air intake like Injen will gain any hp, unless you cover the entire area with a heat shield behind the filter to prevent heat soak from the engine. You can run a BFI system and stick the air filter directly to the front to get the cold air and you may gain some hp and mpg. If you're hardcore enough...LOL, cut the hole right beneath the stock air box location and stick the air filter down there. That's when you'll gain hp for sure.
