Engine swap question?
Hi just registered because I've found a fairly inexpensive combo that I wanted to know how plausible it would be to put together, and figured asking the most populated site would help.
I searched round here, and found another guy asking about a GS300 2J swap, but he was more concerned with the wiring and OBDII (however I don't care so much about that, sorry mother nature :P), so it didn't tell me much about the actual swap.
Anyway, the engine I found is an '05 GS300 engine with the vvti, and then a shell of a manual '92 SC300. My main question is whats the logistics of the swap? Like does the engine bolt up identically to the SC or are there some changes to be made, and how difficult and or expensive could it get?
Hope I pegged the right section and that someone can help me out, cause the shell and engine are almost too good to pass up price wise.
