Default Removing Door Piece

I would like to remove this black piece. I want to repaint it since its chipping. I looked behind the door and there are 2 screws directly behind it. I tried pulling it off but I had to use some force and didnt want to break anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

its a one piece including the chrome moulding that goes around the window. you need to remove the door panel top and bottom and the mirror just to remove that piece... have fun

I think im going to go with the cover up method. Much easier and less time consuming. Thanks everyone for all your input.

Try to use something really flat and wide to push it open while you apply the vinyl

I would bet that EBAY trim piece wouldn't last more than two summers here in Phoenix.

I bought some Rustoleum Glossy Black spray paint at Home Depot, carefully taped off the unwanted areas, and damn it came out pretty well. No $40 ebay vinyl, more like $4 spray can. Ill post up some pics tomorrow.

Hey man thanks for the tip. I can't really do it today cause it looks like it's going to rain down here. You should post pics, I'd rather respray mine then vinyl it.
