Tired of these long intros... Straight to the point. When I roll down my passenger side window it works fine. When I roll it up though, it SQUEALS really LOUD. I don't have any clue what it is. Its been like this since I got the car a year ago but has gotten progressively worse over time. Any ideas or suggestions?... Thanks guys!
That is so weird - mine literally *just* started squealing last night! Talk about timing compared to this post.... So yeah, I'm on the crowd that wants to know as well if this has a definitive answer.
I have that problem as well, but i don't think it's coming from the track. It seems it's coming from the rubber brush/seal at the top of the door, which you can't really put any lubes on .

Okay, so we have an idea now, of what it might be... I still dont know though. With all our heads together though, we should be able to figure this out.
mine did squeal...then the regulator broke...maybe the track does need lubing like stated above. my passenger side is slow, but doesn't make sound yet...
Silicone spray on the tracks and graphite powder on the seals. I've had the squealing problem (OT problem) in my old Soarer and the glass catching the inner rubber seals too.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! If you don't mind me asking though, how did you do it, what type of silicon and grease did you all use, and from where? Thank you once again. I HAVE to get this fixed. I just hope its not the regulator...
Good post! I'm having this problem with my passenger windows as well! I'm definitely going to try to spray everything down ASAP when it stops raining so much!
just spray it directly on the window channels and it should run down without you having to open up the panel. Its something simliar to WD40 but better.. we use it here at the shop bc its common for the channels to get dry with the weather here...
