Yeah I wish I had pictures to show you where I did the filing. I was just wondering if I was the only one who had encountered this problem.
Sounds vaguely similar to the chap in this thread on SupraForums who had some line-up problems. Wait 'til you read what caused his issue. I think he comes in somewhere around page 2 or 3 of the thread. Lots of good info throughout the thread.

i had to do the same on my ls calipers. its not a big deal. you remove about 2-3mm of useless material and it took about 5mins with a grinder. i love my power tools....mmmm fabrication
One problem I did run into, and I don't know why it's never mentioned in any write-ups, I just could not get the caliper bolts to line up to the SC caliper mount. I had to file down one of the edges where the top bolt would go through in order to line it up perfectly. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
As far as I know, everyone in the UK and Australia who has fitted LS 4-pots to a Soarer has had that problem, but I've never seen it mentioned in relation to the SCs until now.
Widening the hole? Mine bolted up perfectly without any nonsense and the stock SC caliper bolts fit perfectly as well. No washers needed.
There is no widening of the hole. Just a little grinding where the top knuckle is. It just really frustrated me how some people say they are a direct fit but ohh..you have to grind. I had to punch a wall for not seeing this sooner.

But anyway, the thread on the Supra Forums seems to be the most detailed and helpful Ive seen so far. The brakes do feel wayyyy better over the stock ones. I still have to make mine complete and get some braided lines to increase the pedal feel. Definitely and awesome mod.

That's definitely strange because mine bolted on without problems. People also say that the stock bolts are too long but mine worked without problems. Internets..
