When using a engine hoist what do you guys use to prevent the hoist from crushing your bumper?

maybe just a towel between the bumper and the hoist. the only time ive used an engine hoist, my bumper was off but if you want to go the easier way, I'd just use a towel.

Extend the boom on your lift. Most of them are adjustable, slide the boom out farther and presto.
