What to do first?
well i have had my sc for 3 years and i have not even driven it once. this is the summer it will either be put together or sold. i plan on being turbo. i think i am going back to the idea of 1jz swap. there is no interior in this car at all. i had to buy new everything. it needs to be repainted. So my question is. What should i do first. i am tired of talking about what i plan on doing. it is time **** or get off the pot.
if your asking us, i say strip it more like all the way and o it all right from the beginning strip it fully and get the whole thing repainted inside and out, do every thing once, the right way and no you don't want engine and all that in before painting. then depends on ur budget, if ur loaded then do a -GTE, if its going to be daily then just do NA because gas is also like $500 a teaspoon, so with a turbo you need to run premium all the time, and don't say your gonna feed 87 octane to a turbo engine. plan it out and don't rush it.Trending Topics

Bigmalik is heading in right direction...it depends on what ur going to do with the car...if its a daily driver or for show...you need to make that decision FIRST...that will sorta dictate your direction and project planning efforts. But if it were me I'd...
say, after watching countless hours of "rebuild shows", I would have the car thoroughly cleaned, prepped and sprayed BEFORE you do any other work. This would NOT or should NOT be the final spray of the car. It just allows a cleaner and easier access for the painters and ALOT better prep for the car for paint, especially if your changing the paint color or the car has been neglected. A bad paint job will totally KILL all the blood/sweat/tears and CASH you've put into the project. I've judged ALOT of MB's for concours events finish is HUGE. Also since you will be working on it still you would have a chance to spray a final time once the car is done. In your mind just think how it is when they build the car...follow those steps if your doing a full gut and rebuild and that should help you frame your tasks.
Good Luck...STEP 1 though should be BEFORE Pics taken. Then subsequent progress shots so we can see your progress.

this will be a weekend driven straight line go fast car. i want a fast street car. no car shows and no fully gutted drag car. Clean, simple and fast is what i want. as far as the paint it was sandstone from factory but someone did a horrible black paint job on top of it. i am not a fan of the sandstone color so i would like to change it but i could save a butt load of money if i stuck with the stock color.

I hope that doesnt mean, you think you can run 87 in your na.
well for paint, if you desided to change color i say strip the car all the way tow your striped car to paint the car from front to back inside out. since full paint cost more due to striping the car. if you do it yourself and tow it to the bodyshop they will not charge that much... just shop around and make sure they take out all the glass and replace glass molding and stuff. that's what we do at our shop and most of the charge is doing R/I's and prep. for paint.
since there is no interior in the car.....
#1 Roll cage
#2 Remove and install a fresh new or rebuilt engine, make sure the drivetrain is good.
#3 Work on the suspension and brakes
#4 Paint car while engine is getting done
#5 Purchase and install full interior
#6 Install engine and all drivetrain back in
#7 Wheels and tires
#8 Tune car
#9 DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!
