Lets just say I've owned 7 hondas , all of them were at least attemped on as far as a break in, couple succeded and nothing of real value was ever taken. I've now owned my Lexus for a year and I've not had one attempt. But with the install of my Avic-D3 in a couple days and many other components , that may be the true test.

 

shoot i started this thread not thinking that my car will get broken into anytime soon but my integra the other night just got broken into, i'm guessing they tried to steal the car but my motor was blown so they looked around and found my head unit in my trunk and my blown sub woofer, my head unit was $300 when it came out and cost $30 for a window, good thing hondas are cheap

 

Well my car got broken into today! Must have been some kids as they just broke the passenger window and grabbed my ipod. Didn't touch any stereo equipment yet I'm glad I didnt have my new pioneer touch screen installed yet as they may have been more tempted! Suffice to say I think I'm going to install an aftermarket alarm just to feel a bit safer. This happened right outside my house in a very nice suburban area too...

 

so all sc dont have stock alarm? cause im sisters es300 does and muine doesnt..

 

The SC does have some sort of alarm.. I know because I've accidentally tripped it before. But I figure an aftermarket alarm would probably be a better idea. That sucks about your integra but damn, 30 dollars for a window!!! If only.. I'm getting mine fixed right now for 250, and then I have to get it re-tinted too!

 

the sc alarm is like any other factory alarm. They suck, and pretty much everyone is aware that most factory alarms only go off when you unlock and open the door from the inside. They can brake your windows all day, they just can't open the door or else it will go off. they should really come stock with a pressure sensor

 

talk about break ins.. my car just got broken into last friday. first they tried sticking a flat head into the key hole and that didn't work. So, they tried prying the door handle off of the door and then these idiots ended up breaking the window. They tore up my center console and took my radio..to top everything off I just found out that i don't have the coverage on my insurance..

 

Sorry to see your car like that Tony, did you put the window in? i founf that metal peice you need in my trunk not too sure if its for that side tho, but if you need it let me know.what are you gonna do about the door?

 

i couldn't put the window in, i had broke the metal channel trying to pry it off. So, i went out to lexus and order the channel and it should be here tomorrow and im ordering tonight the center radio trim and the exterior door handle for Aliga..then i got this place out in hollywood that mite fix my door and probably paint my roof..
