Default SportMax wheels

I know you guys like the 18" SportMax wheels, but I do not want 18s.

Does anyone know if these Sportmax 962 staggered wheels would fit??

They will fit, but it's a fairly conservative set-up.

17's don't work well on the big bodied SC. Plus with those widths and offsets, those will be more sunken than the Titanic.

Thank's for the input guy's.

IMO, Supra TT 17s look great on these cars..with a drop.

Plus with the 18s, won't I have to roll the lips just to have them fit right? I want something that bolts right on..and is easy so I can move on to the engine mods!!

IN the "Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide" they show several SC'ers who've gone to 18s with no fender lip roll required. It's all about the offset. For example:

you can go as low as +38 on a 10” wide wheel in the rear without any fender modifications and as low as +22 on a 10” wide wheel with your fenders rolled. your tire size plays a big role here.

Gamer
front: rim size 18x9; offset +44; tire size 245/45/18; no fender modifications
rear: rim size 18x10; offset +49; tire size 265/35/18; no fender modifications

MongolKhan
front: rim size 18x9; offset +24; tire size 255/35/18; fenders rolled
rear: rim size 18x10; offset +22; tire size 265/35/18; fenders rolled

Jeremyp111
front: rim size 18x8; offset +38; tire size 245/40/18; no fender modifications
rear: rim size 18x9; offset +38; tire size 265/35/18; no fender modifications

Dx3
front: rim size 19x8; offset +45; tire size ???; no fender modifications
rear: rim size 19x8; offset +45; tire size???: no fender modifications

mrshabo
front: rim size 19x8.5; offset +34; tire size 245/35/19; needed fenders rolled
rear: rim size 19x9.5; offset +36; tire size 275/25/19; needed fenders rolled

See the 19s up there that didn't require fender mods? Cool eh? Give the sticky a quick scan through...especially the first several posts. It's what helped me select my SportMax 18s.

I'll echo the others comments, 18's at least. Though I'm not a fan of SportMax quality. I come from the Nissan/Infiniti world and many 240sx guys had SportMax wheels break/fail under normal driving conditions ... yes that means the occasional pot hole.

Look for some OEM type take off's. The 18" 5 spoke Nissan 350Z wheels look great on an SC (can't find the picture I saw online) and the fitment is good though not aggressive (18x8 +30 & 18x8.5 +33).

from what i gathered an 18x9 in the rear with as low as a 35 offset would be close but fine.

if you want them to be more flush (20-30) then it is time to start rolling
