How to retrieve trouble code (Engine light stay on)

Ikon,

can you put this on top for a while. This is the site for trouble shoot Toyota engine, retrieved codes.

I guess people here don't want to fix their own car. Or they expected us to give them detail on how to get the trouble code when their car have problem.
