Default How much does your LS400 rotor weigh?

My slotted / drilled 95-00 LS400 rotor just came in. I weigh each and it came up to be 21 pounds.

I searched and found TT rotors weigh about 20 lbs each.

Do you know what you guys have?

Cool. Good to know

I thought 21 lbs is too heavy for a single rotor.

Do the LS400 Rotors have noticable cooling fins in the center or are they a solid disk?

Are not all rotors like that? Are they called "vented" as well?

"All" rotors vented ?, no. Re the LS rotors, I'm suprised that they they are reportedly heavier than Supra TT as LS are smaller and both rotors are vented.

me too, I thought the LS400 oem rotors were lighter than the supra TT ones since they're slightly smaller.

idk about rotors, but ls400 calipers are lighter then supra tt.
ls400 calipers are aluminum while supra tt are steel, or cast iron?

anyways. r1rotors or w/e from ebay will make rotors out of dirty metals and your actually better off, and even better performance with an oem rotor.

the dirty metals might posibbly be giving you that extra lb or so.
dont woute me on this info, but i do know the dirty metals, hence also the prone ability to being warped.

wow i just noticed this thread is 2yrs old. haha oh well, theres some info.
