Does anyone know if you can get a block heater installed? I bought this car a year ago from the states and had it shipped here to Canada. last night it reached -47 with windchill. I went to go start her, and after a couple tries got her started soon after it made quite the intense screaming noise haha any suggestions?

update... called toyota today the parts cost 36 dollars and are in limited supply 1 in vancouver and 4 in toronto but the labour is 250... debating how necessary it is. yeah soon as you walk outside your boogers freeze haha and if you breathe in through your mouth your lungs feel like they're burning.

The block heater will keep the rad from cracking in half, but everything else will likely still screech on first start after sitting overnight in sub-zero temperatures (my other car, a Buick, does the same thing here).

You're supposed to run Premium gas in the SC anyways, so this angle might be covered, but some gas line antifreeze also can't hurt, and keeping the tank near full will help keep the gas lines from freezing.
