foglight color choice
hey mark did you just get the lenses seperately? where can I find some? I forgot to ground my passanger side and the bulb exploded leaving a melted and foggy aread on my lens so i wanted to replace them. does anyone else know where I can get just the lenses?
I like yellow, White 4300K or 6000K fog lights will not see through fog. Believe me, I have 6000K fog and headlight all you see is white glare on foggy day.
also when its raining, the road alpalt is wet pitch black (which absorb white light) which you wont be able to see which lane you are on, if there is/are no/fading reflective white line marker on either side. Yellow has no problem with this.
If you dont have fog then you can use white 4300K, 5000K, 6000K
yellow 3000K is awesome, I turned it off when i dont need it. (I am geared toward safety rather than just pretty, you dig

Anyone who installed a set of H3 3k HIDs in there 97+ fogs remove the dome shape metal reflector inside the housing? Or did everyone just pop them in and not modify the housing. I'm about to install a set of 3k hids in my 98SC and was wondering if removing that dome shield/reflector would help the lighting. My fog lenses are crystal clear. I have the front bumper off, so I figured it would be easier to modify the fog light housing if needed. Thanks ..!!
Amber was my choice... but I use them as daytime runners, they suck for projecting light so dont work well as fogs, but work good as daytime lights. I love the HID yellows though, definitely a great way to go
I had 8k headlights and 6k fogs on my 240, it looked pretty good...I had 3k as well, and it wasn't yellow enough for me...I ended up painting the lenses yellow as well...
Piaa's are expensive, but worth the price, they put out good light, and are a good shade of yellow.
