Default How to get my fogs to look like this?

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6068/...409d5b1b_z.jpg

I found this pic on another thread and I wanted to know how to get my fogs to have such a nice deep yellow color. What 3K HID bulb do you guys recommend? What brand of overlays? Any other suggestions?

Lots of people I know use Nokya or GPThunder, they're cheap and give out a good color. They're halogen bulbs though. I wouldn't recommend HIDs for 3000k cause most give out a greenish-yellow color unless you can find a decent kit.

I'd also like to know this as well. The brightness of the fogs in the above picture makes me think they're HIDs, in which case the bulbs are great, because I have the DDM Tuning 3000K HID fog kit and the color is a pale yellow that I don't really care for. I'd really like a more gold yellow like the one pictured.

Does anyone know of a foglight overlay that will achieve a more gold yellow, and one that might actually dim them a bit (since they're fogs in a reflector housing they're quite bright and could be dimmed)?

And does anyone know of an HID fog kit that could achieve the above color, or do you think those pictured are actually halogens?

Be careful. Remember to use the right wattage because i purchased nokya 2500k hologens and they burnt out my wiring harness for the left fog. Cost me an arm and a leg to fix because it was not under warranty

My thoughts exactly. Ive noticed a lot of 3k HID bulbs give a very dim yellow color and I didnt know exactly how much more "yellow" overlays would make it look

Those are the exact ones i use. After 3 years of using them my left wiring harness melted. Fixed it and continued to use them because every other brand was a "Off" yellow. I like the Golden yellow the 2500k noyka gives. Especially when you get the fog light overlays from aerotect.net Perfect combination. I had them on my '07 IS250. Going to do it on my new 2011 IS250 F-sport when i get the chance too

Really? What are the odds lol. How was the color before and after you put on the overlays, and what brand did you get?

I already upgraded my stock halogens to HIDs. I currently have 8K headlights and fogs but I think my fog lights are about to go out soon and the place that I got them installed gave me a lifetime warranty on labor so I just have to buy the replacement bulbs. In my case Im assuming I would only need to buy the hidextra 3k bulbs since I already have the ballasts?
