So I'm starting down the money pit of modifying my SC...I really haven't done anything...did a BFI a month or two ago, and I just bought a dragon TC, but other than that my 95 sc400 is pretty much stock. So I figured after installing the new torque converter, the next step would be to replace the exhaust system. I was planning on replacing everything (headers, cats, mufflers, etc...) so a couple questions I had are:

for headers - I was thinking about going with some Tex headers, but I'm not a hundred percent sure if they are still available, also the fact that they're made in Australia sucks for shipping, so any comparable, hopefully cheaper, headers that anyone has had experience with I'd love to hear about.

for mufflers - http://www.planetsoarer.com/rearmuff...ar_Muffler.htm - was what I was thinking about...really my biggest concern here is sound...I want to get better mufflers, and I want the performance gains, but I'm not looking to get much louder than stock...

for cats - as far as cats go, I really don't know what I'm looking for or if there is even much of a difference as long as they flow well...any recommendations would be appreciated.

I'm sure this sounds like a bit of a lazy post, but I've searched around, and I think I've got a good idea of what I want from a performance stand point, I'm just having trouble with the sound...

 

ektuning headers, then magnaflow high-flow cats, into an x-pipe, then straight pipes to straight through n1 mufflers

 

I would have thought the LSD would have been next after the TC

Just make sure you get mandrel bends

yeah, I was thinking about getting an LSD...but I'm having some trouble finding the full setup. I've found an old torsen one with about 50,000 miles on it, but I can't find the pumpkin housing.

 

i dont think you need the housing. just the 4.27 gear off of the sc300.
