Default Need Your Opinion

Guys,

I currently have three cars/van and my wife has one SUV. Recently I traded my other SC400 with a BHG SC300. The body is very good and just need a paint job. However, having 4 cars/van is just little too many. I love my Van, SC400 and LS400 and now.. and new car entering my garage.

This car was overheated and the seller/trader had the head machined and ready to be install. Here are some pictures:

Here is my dilema.

* Fix it and sell it?
* Fix it and keep?
* Fix it and turbo it?

Perfect candidate for turbo! Add boost, have fun then decide to keep or sell.

unfortunately thats a question you have to answer.....

i'd do a swap. you throw the new head on there, your still going to have to figure out why it over heated..... did the headgasket go because it over heated, or did it over heat causing the headgasket to blow, there is no way to know really.

also, if you do the swap you will be able to sell the car for more. anybody who is going to buy the car with bad paint is probably buying it to do the swap, so you would be fixing it for no reason with the stock motor.

seems like there is no point it keeping it for you (bc of the other cars) unless you do a swap or something to make it a "fun" car.

good luck!

Honestly... Since you have so many projects as is...

stock 1jz, repaint the same color, and sell it. Hows the interior?

Use that money to build the SC400.

If you are going to make a profit, sell it. If that's going to cost you owning that ( ie. insurance, maintenance, fuel, etc. ) in a long run. I should say leave it. Save your money and spend it on other investments.

Fix and sell. It's hard enough trying to modify two cars, much less three.

Sell it, I have tried modding 3 cars and it doesn't work out. I'm in the same boat and have to sell a car or 2.

fix, sell, make money, buy your wife something nice and put some money into your other projects. last thing you want is for your wife to be pissed off that you bought a car, fixed it, got money from it, and she didnt get anything out of it but a headache for putting up with all your projects. lol. might be a stretch but you know what i mean.

im having a hard time finishing one project and doing small things on my DD. then again im in college full time and you know how that goes. good luck with whatever you do with this decision.
