It would just kill how exclusive the AC kit is if there was a fake one out there...

The fake *** Vertex kits definitely takes the exclusivity away from the original one. I told somebody I may be going with Vertex. He said wow, there are alot of fake Vertex kits out there.

Made my decision even harder in the Vertex vs. AC body kit dilemna.

I may just go with 97+. SHIZA!!!!!

Its effin great that you've moved up in the auto world from Honda to LEXUS (angels singing in the backround), but you gotta get out of the honda mentality dude, no fake kits bro.

it's ok, alot of people on these forums think about it and would buy it in a heartbeat if a fake AC kit existed, it's just that you were the only one who said it outloud.

I think people who believe a 92-00 SC is somehow special should buy a calender. Its almost 2008 people, our cars are between 8-16 years old. I bought my car for 5500 dollars, in another words I don't have a lot of money. If there is a replica AC kit out there for a fraction of the $1700 needed for the genuine version, I'd get it in a heartbeat. IMO, $1700 dollars is much better spent toward a nice 1jz+r154.....

I bought my car on a budget, but spent a bit more than I planned in favor of condition and low mileage. Considering thair original price, these are exceptionally high quality Toyotas. Keep the quality of modifications consistent with the quality of the car.

If my objective was to spend $8000 on a car with tacky mods available for dirt cheap on eBay, I'd be driving a Civic (No offence to the few who have very clean Hondas, there are a few). I would also rather invest in an engine swap in favor of a kit as well, but everyone has their own priorities. To me a kit (Vertex, BN sports, ABflug, Bomex, etc.) is something to finish off a modified car, or something cleaner like the AC kit to compliment agressive wheel fitment.

Another thing that comes along with the quality of our cars is excellent fit and finish of body panels and gaps. To date, I have not seen one of these replica kits look like it should. The gaps are uneven most of the time, and some don't even look like they fit. Give your car the respect it deserves and and treat it to the best. If your budget does not permit, saving for later is better that cheaping out now. Do it once. Do it right.

Case in point: How much better chanh55's car looks after the switch from replica Vertex to authentic AC:drool:
