Default Dye carpet and Dash what to use?

I know a couple of guys dyed their interior black. What dye did should be used? I searched and theres alot of products out there. All I know of is SEM. How does it or any other hold up over time? Does it come off after awhile? Crack, ect? before and after pics would be a big help.

Yes it sucks. I tried it once and the results were less than promising.

The proper way to do the carpet is to pull it out, and submerge the carpet in water/Rit dye for several days to get the proper results...

I did this on my s13. Bought a big tub with lid from walmart and alot of rit's die. Filled it up with water mixed in die and stired it up. Put weights on it to hold it down and move it around 2 times a day. It looked great for about a year. But now some parts kinda look like a dark red in the sun. The car didnt have tint so maybe the sun just took its damage on it over the year. But every thing only cost like $45 so it wasnt that bad and still looks great in the shade or night. Maybe it just need to be die again.

^^^^ Yup, spray paint works best for sure. Sounds crazy, but has the best results for sure.

We use to call an interior shop to do color changes for us. They had a professional spray gun and would prep for hours and spray it like painting a car. It was a special industrial paint made for interiors. Call a shop and get a quote. You'd rather do that, than to have it flake off on you in a few months.
