Default Supra Seats - Shimming it.

My Supra Seats sit way too low. It may be because its FULL manual on the drivers side. Either way, I dont need to hear thats your are fine lol. Im 6'1 btw.

What I am trying to do is boost it up .5" to 1"

What would be the best way to go about this? Do I need extended bolts? Does anyway know the bolt size??

Did you crank the seat height adjusting dial all the way up? I am somewhat stunned that you can not sit comfortably at 6'1" with the seat jacked all the way up.

You probably did that already...as for shimming, I think Scott had to shim his leather racing seats. You might PM him.

Man I'm 6ft and my head hits the ceiling when I go fast over sizeable dips in the road. I wouldn't mind a few extra inches with those supra seats. On the other hand, I think it would be harder to look over the long hood at that height. To answer your question, maybe a phone book?
They also make height adjustable brackets/sliders if you have money to spare.

I got Supra seats in my previous SC, I am 5'10, and I crank the seat all the way down, and I feel like I can go lower.

I am not really sure what the Supra seats look like but if they are the same as the Stock you will have to build custom spacers brackets to lift them. If they are more like my Recaro's then it is easier. See if the seat sliders are bolted straight to the bottom if they are then you can put spacers there and use longer bolts.

I suggest shock therapy:
- Crank the seat all the way down.
- Force yourself to drive like that for two weeks.
- Crank the seat all the way down.
- Enjoy your seemingly high seats.

I am 6'3", and -truth be told- I thought they were a little low when I first put them in the car. I cranked the seat all the way up and I felt as if I could barely see over the wheel while I was sitting in the garage. I told myself I would try to embrace the "sports car" seat height by putting the seats all the way down. I felt like I was sitting on the pavement as I drove around to test them out. Within a few days, I wouldn't have it any other way. They are cranked down to the floor every day, and I love everything about the seats.
