The thing with re-sealing is, you gotta do a good job or its going to re-occur. Look into stronger bonding products that can withstand car-washing products, the sun, rain, etc.

if you seal the spot really well then it should work fine. just make sure they are DRY before you seal them. they would still dry out but it would take a zillion years.

I haven't done this to my headlights yet because I'm afraid of not being able to re-seal them properly, and because I live in a very moist climate (Vancouver) theres a very strong possibility of them fogging up quickly.. It sucks cuz my headlights are disgusting, they make the car look really old.
I thinking about just getting new headlights for $260 like those a few threads back. But I guess since I'm getting new ones I might as well at least try to clean these ones up, and if it doesn't work oh well.

I have this step by step guide on how to do it. Is it a good one? Or is there a better guide somewhere?

I'd use the guide that OLT wrote up on this site.

Yeah, I used the guide the OLT made and it worked fine. After I did it, I did miss a spot in the resealing process but once I waited until they de-fogged, then I just sealed that spot and have been golden ever since. That was about 6 months ago. Once you do it, never look back.
