cluster needles

Default cluster needles

my 400's needles are all burnt out but i have another cluster from a 5 speed available to me. can i just swap the clusters or do i need to swap the needles over?

You can swap the clusters, though you won't show what gear you're in on the cluster with a 5-speed one.

if i switch the needles, is that all i must do or is there a light source for the needles that also needs to be switched?

you could always take it to lextech and get them upgraded..you could also use the 5spd one while you wait for the other one to get back from the shop

You've given us absolutely no info whatsoever, there is no way we can help you. Would you like to give us the years and models of each cluster so we can start?

my car is a 1995 and the 5sp cluster came out of a 1993, what other info do you need?

needles. find 95 or 96 one's if you want to put some used needles in there to burn out again.

Well Chappie. What our friendly neighborhood moderator was trying to say was that why waste the time and money swapping needles? It's pointless since there gonna burn out again. What you should do is goto lextech.org and oder a set replacements that will last longer and look better. Not to mention you have choices on color.

Well I mean it's his choice to go OEM. We know they are gonna die again, but he might not keep the car long enough to have to worry and he can pass the buck to the next schmuck
